New Era Primary School

For each year of the funding, Queens Road Primary School will receive an amount of £8000 plus an additional £5 per pupil from the Government known as the ‘Primary Physical Education and Sport Premium’. It must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of pupils in our school so that all pupils develop healthy, active lifestyles.

The Key areas are:

• Creating opportunities for all our teachers to help deliver a better PE and sports curriculum
• Improving teachers’ knowledge and teaching skills in PE and sport.
• Providing after school clubs for pupils
• Improving the quality of PE resources in school
• Develop the grounds and provision offered for PE and sport at the school
• Establishing strong, sustainable partnerships with other local schools and sports organizations
• Providing additional activities such as outdoor and adventure activities
